Certified Solution Process

Please follow the steps below to become an Authorize.Net Certified Solution Partner.
Authorize.Net Certified Solutions Process

Step 1: Choose an Application Programming Interface (API)

Is a credit card physically presented to the merchant during the transaction?

Yes - use Card Present (CP) 1.0 No – use Card Not Present (CNP) 3.1 AIM

Step 2: Develop Code for Integration

Visit our Integration Center for sample code, implementation guides, and other resources that will speed up your development cycle.

Step 3: Test Your Solution

  • Obtain a free test account. Please fill out and submit our Test Account Application. Once your application has been verified, the Integration Services team will provide you with more information about testing your integration. We will provide you with a secure server address for posting test transactions, two unique test Login IDs, a Partner ID, and the appropriate Testing Criteria Guide(s).
  • Test resources. Testing Criteria Guides detail the requirements for the NAME/VALUE pairs your solution must successfully pass to the payment gateway in a standard transaction. Using this information, you can begin testing your integration with assistance from our Integration Services team.
  • Test requirements. All solutions must test against normal credit card transactions with an Authorize.Net Login ID. CNP solutions must also test electronic check (eCheck.Net®) transactions, as well as Wells Fargo SecureSource transactions with a specific Wells Fargo Login ID.
  • Testing assistance. If any part of your solution's integration with the Authorize.Net API does not meet requirements, an Integration Services team member will identify any errors and provide you with assistance.
  • Security policy. During testing, you will also be asked to provide documentation regarding your Merchant Sensitive Information Protection Policy. Solutions without security policies that protect sensitive merchant information will be denied certification until such security policies are in place.

Step 4: Complete the Certified Solution Program Application Form

After your solution has integrated to all of the specifications described in the Testing Criteria Guide, you must submit the Certified Solution Program online application form. You must fill out the form completely and accurately.

Step 5: Test Verification and Acceptance of Partner Agreement

The Integration Services team will review your test logs to verify that your solution has met all the requirements of the Certified Solution Program. To complete the certification process, you must read and sign the Partner Agreement to accept our terms and conditions. Once we receive your acceptance, we will formally certify your solution. We will provide you with an Authorize.Net partner logo and full details concerning your certified partner status. We will also list your solution in our online directory. We promote only successfully certified solutions in our online directories.

Step 6: Maintain Contact Information

Solutions partners must maintain accurate contact information with Authorize.Net at all times. In order for Authorize.Net to effectively relay important updates, announcements, integration issues, and general communications to our solutions partners, you are required to update any changes in your contact information.

Authorize.Net will employ all means available to maintain communication with a given solution provider. However, if repeated communication is made to the designated contact without reply, or notification contact information is no longer valid, the solution will be removed from our online directories until contact is re-established by the solution partner.

Step 7: Maintain Compliance with the Authorize.Net Partner Agreement

In the event you breach any of the terms or conditions of the Partner Agreement, Authorize.Net may, in addition to any contractual remedies available to it, terminate your “certified” status and remove your name from the online partner directory until you have remedied the breach.
